When do you need a transcript translation?
Transcript translations are requested for study applications abroad, diploma equivalence procedures with the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), scholarship applications and some visa processes.
Is notary approval required for a transcript?
It depends on the institution. Some universities accept a sworn translation alone, while equivalence and other official applications may ask for notary approval. Confirm the requirement, including any apostille, with the institution before you apply.
How are course names and grades translated?
Course names and the grading system are translated faithfully to the source document. Credits, letter grades and explanatory notes are carried over in the form the receiving institution expects.
What do we check before giving a quote?
Two transcripts with the same number of pages can differ in scope because of table density and certification needs. We check the source and target language, the number of pages, course tables, seals and legibility, and the institution the transcript is for. Translation, notary approval and physical delivery are listed as separate items in the quote.
How is the price calculated?
The price is calculated per character, without spaces, in proportion to the rate per 1,000 characters for your language pair. VAT is included; the notary fee is charged separately. Documents can be uploaded online as a PDF, Word file or photo for an initial assessment.
